‘Stuck in quarantine? ‘Socially isolating? You can still have a social life during this time while practicing “social isolation.” In fact, without fear of contracting the Coronavirus, you can use this time to grow as a person and have some fun. Here are some ideas.
Skype, FaceTime, or call an old friend.
You are restricted from socializing in person. You won’t see the people you usually socialize with. Maybe this is a good time to think about those friends you don’t usually see. Set aside a half hour to check in with your college roommate or a former work buddy you haven’t talked to in awhile.
Read a recommended book.
Many friends are posting their favorite books and movies on FaceBook. Take a recommendation and read something you don’t normally read. Give it at least 20 pages. If you don’t like it, put it down. Try another. Let your friend know what you thought of the book.
Volunteer
Given you are healthy, you could volunteer to help — donate blood or deliver meals, for example. Ask your local church, Red Cross, of local community agency for opportunities.
